W-409 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Is the body without paint? Looks like it. Otherwise than the paint and color this build is very cool, I like the engine detailing a lot, but maybe it would look better if there should be other colors too, now all I can see is chromed. Those tires and wheels doesn't fit to my eye, I don't like that kind of wheels in a Hot Rod. Nice build anyways.
Steven Zimmerman Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I never realized how nice this kit was !....Now I'm going to have to find one....or several !

Tijuanataxi Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 It looks really cool just the way it is. Its nice to see this fairly rare kit built OOB, the way it is supposed to be. I love these early 70 ties style rods, and I really like the look the wheels/tires give to this model. Great job
MikeeD Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Nice build......you wouldn't lose that in Wal-Mart's parking lot...lol
kh58ford Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Looks great David. I also love the old box stock builds. Monogram put out some of the best hot rods ever made and they were always builder friendly. I have one of these still in the box and 2 of the original flat box issues that have been built. I hope to get started on them in the near future. Again, looks great to me, Kevin.
voljeepx Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I love this kit and I am glad you left it original plastic. Nice work!
dimaxion Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I love this kit and I am glad you left it original plastic. Nice work! The Original Monogram Kit was a three in one cira 1961 . Roy could build a Roadster or Three Window Coupe . Three different versions ; Stock , Custom , or Drag . This is the way it was and we liked it . The stock version never did get released . It was molded in Maroon . You did a competent job on this box stock build . Just right . Thanx ..
