mackinac359 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Here is #2 for 2011. I started this in 2004 modifying the hood, cab and fairings and making the bumper and painting the body. It sat in the box until last fall when I built the chassis. On the bench On the highway Here is where polishing pays off - I polished with 3M rubbing compound, Surf City Garage Beyond Clay and Mothers Carnuba Wax. More pics are on the workbench page of TimsTrucks.com Thanks for looking! Tim
Semi Trailer Mechanic Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 That's gotta be the best looking and well built 377 model I've seen to date. Just a simple domestic truck to me looks by far better than one of those exaggerated penthouse sleeper cabs.
GeeBee Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Very nice truck, I don't suppose you have the sleeper parts for sale do you ??
mackinac359 Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Those parts ended up on another truck long ago.. Very nice truck, I don't suppose you have the sleeper parts for sale do you ??
Bryan H Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Very nice Tim. How do you approach paint polishing around rivets? Bryan

mackinac359 Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Very carefully ! Anymore I knock down the rivets a bit during initial construction so that they aren't so tall, that way I lessen the chance of polishing through and exposing them. I still do.. and have to carefully apply touch-up paint to them later. Tim Very nice Tim. How do you approach paint polishing around rivets? Bryan
