I have been wanting to build a good detailed chevelle for a while. So I started with a amt kit but the the detail is bad ;) on the chassis so I used the the chassis from the amt 1969 442 olds kit  .I using the big block out of the amt 1970 monte carlo kit it has nice detail. Please let me know what you think and Im open on ideals.

That Oldsmobile chassis seems to fit nicely to this one! Good idea of using that. This Chevelle kit is something, I have never built, but if it's bad, Monogram's kit would be better basis for the build. But it's nice to see that these AMT kits are being built. Nice job with it so far, I'll be watching. B)

I personally would use the body and bumpers from the revell 70 Chevelle snap kit, Open up the hood and build it that way, If you have one on hand, To me that is the best 70 Chevelle body and bumpers ever made, Just my oppinion, I like what you are doing with this AMT kit so far, To me this is another one they never could get right, Just like the taillights in the 69 Chevelle .
