I found this 5-slot wheel in a parts but don't know which kit this wheel was included with. Any help appreciated, but I have eliminated it being from Monogram kits using the Goodyear Rally GT big 'n' little tires, as the wheel's O.D. is too small to fit snugly in those tires. Any help appreciated. B)

The plastic these were molded in is a peachy-tan. I guess you could call it tan or beige with a hint of orange. My gut tell me it's AMT, but I'm 99% sure it's not a front wheel from the '33 Willys kit:

The newer Revell kit? Not possible, as these are molded in color, not white. I was hoping the (somewhat?) unique color of the plastic would be a tip-off as to the orginal kit, which is why I don't think it's from any Monogram kit. I should've mentioned there was a mounting stud/stem on the backside of the wheel (which has now been sanded flat), but it was broken off, so I can't say for sure if it was originally used to mount a metal axle rod at one time or not.

Anybody have a close-up pic of one of the Lil Red wheels?

I've done more test fitting and found the wheels fit best inside Monogram's Goodyear Steel Belted Radial tires very well (depth is near perfect) as well as a few of the narrower (front) Monogram Goodyear Rally GT tires...but not all of them.

I've tried them inside the Goodyear Rally GT tires included in the '33 Willys kit (at least the '70's light blue version) and the wheel are too large in diamter to fit those tires, and IIRC those wheels had a slightly flared lip/rim outer edge to keep them from falling inside the tire- these wheels do not have any lip:

The fact that the wheel has no outer lip makes me almost 100% certain that it's a Monogram wheel. Monogram is the only company that I'm aware of that made their wheels without an outside lip. They also made three different sizes of wheels for cars. The largest wheels had the Good Year Rally GT's, the middle size came with the narrow Good Year Steel Belted Radial and the smallest size came with the all too familiar Good Year GT Radial.

To me they look like the Lip has been sanded off and the backs sanded out. the apperance leads me to beleive they are LRT wheels, Just like the ones on the following truck that I sanded the backs out of.

They look to be the same as the wheels in the monogram 55 chevy street machine kit

I thought so too for a second, but the '55 street machine has always been molded in black. I grabbed a wheel from the '55 and there are quite noticable differences between the two.

The "face" of the wheel into which the slots are cut is less concave on the above wheel compared to the Monogram '55 Chevy wheels, of which I do have a few. I thought the Early Iron series kits included the same wheels as the current Revell (ex-Monogram) '55 Chevy Street Machine, but maybe they don't?

I'm still hopeful the color of the plastic will be the key to identifying the source.

They look really close to these. I believe I got them off a monogram custom green Pinto, but I am sure they would have been on other 80's custom kits. If they are, the rears are wider.

Yes Monogram. Too early for me to take a pic, but tan plastic under that chrome is a give away. I measured mine with a ruler ( Im really old school! ) and its just about 23/32 which equates to .718, without calipers thats close enough to .709.
