We had a bid Model Fiesta here in San Antonio over the weekend and there was a guy there with a ton sealed and sealed inside, older kits! Lots of Richard Petty stuff like the only MPC stock cars, lots of annual kits and drag kits. I spied these puppies as he unloaded them from a big box and snagged em! He had everything listed at 50% off but his prices were a bit high on some kits. I paid a total of 130.00 for these three kits. The Mustang funny is sealed the Dyno Don Eliminator is sealed inside but the decals are worthless and the box has some small holes. The Cougar is mint, still sealed inside and the body is still wrapped in the protective brown paper.Weekendscore.jpg

Nice! I can't remember the guy's name, but I've bought some stuff from that guy at shows in Lake Charles, LA and Houston. Nice guy, and he does have some decent prices. I got a few MPC and Monogram Fox Mustang kits about a year ago.

Problem is that he seems to have the same stuff each time you see him, but I guess there's always the chance you'll see something you didn't last time, or something will strike you differently than it did before.

I'd like to get those Petty Nascars! I think he had three of them but he wanted 100.00 (50.00) each.

Hey guy's, on the Cougar, it's molded in green and what they did was take the body and masked it at the body line and gave it a fade line of black along the top on the sides. I'll post a pic here in a minute to show how it looks. What's odd is that the box states that the body and interior are molded in different colors but mine has the same color plastic for both. I looked one up on Ebay and it was the exact same.MVC-003F-2.jpgMVC-006F-1.jpgMVC-005F-2.jpgMVC-004F-2.jpgAlso, if you'll notice, they taped off the drivers side at the body line before fogging but they didn't tape off the passenger side?

MPC did several pre-fogged kits that year. I know they also did the Charger that way. I do not believe they masked anything. It was just fogged along the rockers and the tops of the fenders. I don't know why the one side of yours was off. The passenger side is more typical of what it should have been.
