mrglubaum Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Finished this one this morning, the old Monogram '53 Chevy Bel-Air. This was the lowrider version, so I used the low suspension and the wheels/tires from the latest issue of the Monogram '36 Ford coupe. Paint is Testor's lacquer in tropical turquoise and classic white. Pictures of the build from start to finish at this link: http://images56.fotki.com/v127/photos/1/365701/9389397/IM000242-vi.jpg Thanks for looking! Lee
camaroman Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Very Nice!!! Love the colors!! Everything WORKS together, T/W's, colo,r stance!!!
GTMust Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I'm definitely going to have to find me a model to paint that color. Love it!
Greg Pugh Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I am in love with this one!! I own a 1/1 '53 Chev so I'm a little partial. Great build!
Dragline Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Great BMF work there and a sweet color. I'm working on something similar so I know the pain it took to get it that nice. Bob
maltsr Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Sweet - 50's cars and turquoise were made for each other.
jeff ewaskey Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Thats one pretty Bel-Air you have built. That color suits the car perfectly but the modern T/W combination and lowered stance give it just the right amount of attitude. Very sweet build.
george 53 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Way back in the early 60's my uncle Greg had one this same color combo, only he was running Chrome reverse wheels and Baby moons!! GREAT build, I LIKESES it!!!
redknight Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I've always liked this bodystyle. And you executed the build perfectly!
Hakan ERYILMAZ Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Wowww Turkqoise nice color, nice work congrats.
