Greg Pugh Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 This should be interesting. You've got my attention. Just an FYI, Ford 1/2 ton pickups were called F-1's 1948-1952. They didn't start calling them F100's until 1953. Sorry for the boring blah blah. Just thought you should know.
Foxer Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 That's looking interesting. I like how you handled the tailgate.
ajulia Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Hello there friend! This looks really cool! I hope it comes out as you envisioned it fella!! Have you decided on a paint scheme and color yet? Keep on wit the keepin on it will be nice to see the forward progress and updates!
prostockmodeler Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 well guys no updates for today. thanks for the comments. As for the paint i am going for a flat yellow with olive drap like accents and patina-ed paint. the story with the truck is that a couple of hot rodders were messing around on an old military base and they found this truck all rusted out in a field and they took it home and rustled up some spare parts to make this beast. I think I will use the ardun Flathead motor that came with the truck as the power plant.
Ryan S. Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 This is going to be a cool project. I'll be watching. Just a heads up, for the Revell/Gearz contest "custom" models still have to include 50% of the original model to qualify.
