mrknowetall Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 You guys are the best, and thanks for all of the info!
Casey Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 BEST one (IMHO)... AMT's '56 Vicky Y-Block. Good detail if a bit simplified, and a pretty good selection of period speed parts, to boot. Has the Y-block in the new-ish Revell '57 Ford Custom 300 kit(s) trumped the AMT kit's Y-block?
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Has the Y-block in the new-ish Revell '57 Ford Custom 300 kit(s) trumped the AMT kit's Y-block? Absolutely yes, IMHO.
ManiacModeler Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Probably gonna kick a dead mule here, but did any of the kits with a 292/312 come with a manual transmission behind it?

Only one I could get to easily to check for sure is the Revell 2-in-one '57 Ford Custom, and it appears to be a 3-speed manual: two shift levers on the side. I'd assume the other Revell '57 Fords are equipped similarly.
Mark Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago All of the Revell '57 Fords have a manual transmission, as do the AMT '56 and '57. The only one I'm aware of with an automatic is the old Revell Ranchero (and the wagon it was converted from). 1
