BEST one (IMHO)... AMT's '56 Vicky Y-Block. Good detail if a bit simplified, and a pretty good selection of period speed parts, to boot.

Has the Y-block in the new-ish Revell '57 Ford Custom 300 kit(s) trumped the AMT kit's Y-block?

Only one I could get to easily to check for sure is the Revell 2-in-one '57 Ford Custom, and it appears to be a 3-speed manual: two shift levers on the side.

I'd assume the other Revell '57 Fords are equipped similarly.

All of the Revell '57 Fords have a manual transmission, as do the AMT '56 and '57.  The only one I'm aware of with an automatic is the old Revell Ranchero (and the wagon it was converted from).

Thanks guys looking at the revell dark blue metallic custom 56 ford pickup truck pictures, its a manual as well
