oldscool Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Has anyone tried foiling window trim after the windows are already in? gus
george 53 Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I've never done it like that,Gus, but I can't see ANY reason why you couldn't. Just be REALLY careful that you don't scratch your glass. Should be just the same though. REMEMBER to use a NEW exacto blade! ;)

A dull blade is more dangerous than a new one. gus
crazyjim Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I've applied BMF after the glass was already glued in. I just wanted to try it to see how it went. After that test, I decided to BMF before the glass.
MikeMc Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Has anyone tried foiling window trim after the windows are already in? gus Yep...Its the only way I do it now. This was asked a while back and I read a number of responses stating that is the best way to make sure the foil stays on and the glass sticks to the A pillars. As for scratching, I find it no issue...I hold a taped #11 blade and can slide the tip between the glass and back edge of the body...I do not push the blade, the blade cuts the foil when using a new blade....
