plasticbutcher Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) I've bought a kit of my first car, but it's hard finding paint for it. It was a '68 Dodge Charger with Ansen style wheels G-60-15 front, L-60-15 in back, had a nose down rake, and painted a light-to medium metallic green. Fortunately Revell came out with the '68 kit... I almost started to modify the '69. Here's a pic of a '68 with the same color... Mine didn't have the black stripe on the back though. Marshall Glasgow. Hey Marshall I thought your first car was a Dinosour, mine was HA HA. Edited March 30, 2011 by plasticbutcher

Chuck Most Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 That's a cool one, Phil! I've got an MPC Cavalier kit I've been slowly turning into an Olds Firenza drag car the last two or three years.
philo426 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Thanks! I knew a lady who had a Firena coupe!it was a Cavalier with different front and rear end treatments like my Pontiac!
57peppershaker Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) I'm doing my first American car, a 57 Chevy 210 2 door sedan. Waited a long time for a good sedan kit, rather than the MPC flip front. As I've just finished a 6 year rebuild of the 1;1 scale, nows the time to get started on the kit. Planning before & after versions. Before After Edited March 31, 2011 by 57peppershaker
Custom Hearse Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Nice job on the resto Steve. I love '57 Chevy's. Enjoy building the replica as well, and post pics of it when you do! Thanks Jon and Dan for the help in finding the paint I need! I'll have to order some and get the build going! You guys are cool! Edited March 31, 2011 by Custom Hearse
Naydrus Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Sadly, they dont make a kit for my first car, which was a 1985 Cadillac Eldorado. It had the nasty HT4100 in it, I hated that motor. But I treated that car like a queen, even though it was a V8, I never hot rodded it. I actually had 2 Cadillacs, same year, same everything.. the second one is the one I spent the most money on. I was 18, fresh out of high school, no girlfriend and worked a steady 40 hour job... I sunk 5k in to that car, because at the time.. I loved it more than my parents.
Frank Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) This is model of the 1st car I owned, was used as a daily driver while I was building my 34 five window coupe hot rod. The real thing Edited April 8, 2011 by Frank
