i mounted the actuator too. i still have quite few parts to make still. but i figure i show some pictures

small update

i received in nother batch of micro screws and wow was a difference it makes

i started with the sides of the topper and the floor

also added some to the top of the engine compartment

felt like working with plastic today, so i started on the topper for the boom compartment

again, every truck i look at is alittle different. so im going to combine what i saw from each one. 1st theres the main topper, then i made a removable top plate on top that. the plate has 32 micro screws in it

so the basics is done for it. i figure i show you a before shot , tomorrow i will sand, prime and paint

Joe I have to tell you that this is probably the most awesome build-in-progress that I've ever seen.

While I am not into big trucks, the craftsmanship involved in this project is outstanding.

Harry P., if you're reading this, you've gotta get this build in the Magazine for sure.

Talk about a Best Scratchbuilt Award,a Best Emergency Vehicle Award,a Best Working Features Award, a Best Replica Award,a Best Detail Award, a Best Large Scale Award, and a Best In Show Award... This finished project should win them all in whatever Contest it is in. I applaud you Joe.

All that and a "Holy ####" award as well.

This is an epic build. Thanks for sharing.

was to work on the rear fender today. ive added the hand rail, tool box and step pad. the 1st battery i bought for this i mess it up by keeping it plugged in. 90.00 down the drain. i hate lipo batteries but i need the power. right now its charging up.

Man... that sucks, it must have been plugged in for quite some time! I loved my lippo battery in my Drift car I had they are great much smaller and powerful and last a lot longer.

Joe is that Gold Leaf on the side of the truck? Can't tell...

this battery is huge, venom 11.1 3s 20c . its sounds and runs great . really happy with it.... i went to do a viseo and that battery is dead lol. i have a little more detail on the other side and then i can start back on the snozzle

i have cut the extension, work on the basics of the snozzle, installed the lifting servo and ran some plumbing. this is all a mock up and alot of fine tuning to do .

Man Joe that truck looks outstanding! I do have to ask, where do you find room to store it, because by looking at the size and with the boom extended it looks huge (I assume that is a 6ft folding table it is sitting on)!

the table is a 4 foot. the truck with extension out is 5 foot. the truck bumper to bumper is 36 inch
