baddgass Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 The truck has come a long way, and it looks great!
semijoe Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 The truck has come a long way, and it looks great! thank guys! today i some time to work on her i built the main support for the book. it will mount directly to the frame. this should be stridy enought for what im doing with it. i couldnt make it a solid peice, as everything has to be able to come apart .
semijoe Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 wahoo! the actuator cam in and have to say ,its perfect for what im looking for i made the main joint cup, the 1st lower boom is 278mm long, then the knuckle and then the main boom , which is 580mm long i mounted the actuator too. i still have quite few parts to make still. but i figure i show some pictures
Romell R Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 simply stunning, joe! any other words, escape me at the moment............. X2
semijoe Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 pull rods are on spacers are in electronics are up and running, still along way to go though
semijoe Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 small update i received in nother batch of micro screws and wow was a difference it makes i started with the sides of the topper and the floor also added some to the top of the engine compartment
Chuck Most Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Models like this make me wonder why I even bother! Every inch of this one is just stunning.
semijoe Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 felt like working with plastic today, so i started on the topper for the boom compartment again, every truck i look at is alittle different. so im going to combine what i saw from each one. 1st theres the main topper, then i made a removable top plate on top that. the plate has 32 micro screws in it so the basics is done for it. i figure i show you a before shot , tomorrow i will sand, prime and paint

Ramfins59 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Joe I have to tell you that this is probably the most awesome build-in-progress that I've ever seen. While I am not into big trucks, the craftsmanship involved in this project is outstanding. Harry P., if you're reading this, you've gotta get this build in the Magazine for sure. Talk about a Best Scratchbuilt Award,a Best Emergency Vehicle Award,a Best Working Features Award, a Best Replica Award,a Best Detail Award, a Best Large Scale Award, and a Best In Show Award... This finished project should win them all in whatever Contest it is in. I applaud you Joe.

semijoe Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 was to work on the rear fender today. ive added the hand rail, tool box and step pad. the 1st battery i bought for this i mess it up by keeping it plugged in. 90.00 down the drain. i hate lipo batteries but i need the power. right now its charging up.
eviltwincustoms Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Man... that sucks, it must have been plugged in for quite some time! I loved my lippo battery in my Drift car I had they are great much smaller and powerful and last a lot longer. Joe is that Gold Leaf on the side of the truck? Can't tell...

Can't tell... this battery is huge, venom 11.1 3s 20c . its sounds and runs great . really happy with it.... i went to do a viseo and that battery is dead lol. i have a little more detail on the other side and then i can start back on the snozzle
semijoe Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 sorry but the delay guys, super busy lately i have cut the extension, work on the basics of the snozzle, installed the lifting servo and ran some plumbing. this is all a mock up and alot of fine tuning to do .
eviltwincustoms Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Man Joe that truck looks outstanding! I do have to ask, where do you find room to store it, because by looking at the size and with the boom extended it looks huge (I assume that is a 6ft folding table it is sitting on)!
