Tom Reid Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Nice engine detail! Looks like a really fun build.
gunner Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Looks Great! I'm an F1 fan and have a couple of Tamiyas in the stash pile waiting for their turn.
Happy Martian Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Nice work on the kit so far. Yeah I am doing the Mansell's figure with the kit If you are going for accuracy, you might want to drop the Mansell figure. The FW-13 entered action after Nige' had left the team for Ferrari in 1989 and the FW-13B was used for the 1990 season. Williams' main drivers in 1989 and 1990 were Thierry Boutsen and Ricardo Patrese. Mansell rejoined Williams in 1991, when they had re-developed the car into the FW-14.

Yep my bad on that one... after doing tons or research I thought my car was a 1992 and its a 1990 I believe. So yeah I am really making Ricardo Patrese. I was making him the whole time I just thought he was Mansell. lol Thanks for the heads up though I feel dumb now.
wontonkiller Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 just some more little things to work on
wontonkiller Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Color !!!! primer, flat white, 2 coats of yellow and bright white... then 2 coats or clear for now. Cockpit is now complete and working on some decals.
Jim Gibbons Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Looking good! I wish I had those tire stencils when I built mine; the press type lettering supplied with Tamiya kits always gave me fits!
