roush16 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Hello all. been modeling for 30 or so years but for the last 15 or so I have been building Armor and a Monster kit thrown in here or there. I started out as a 8 years old building cars. I decided I need a break from armor, and after checking out a copy of the mag and the forum was hooked on cars again. This is my car in 15 years. I still have some touching up to do in the engine compartment and some other areas but its getting there. I plan on doing fuel lines and water hoses etc. I am working on a few vintage NASCAR models now as well. Im glad to be here and am blown away by the work you guys do. Thanks for the inspiration!
SuperStockAndy Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Welcome back to building cars!! Very nice model, is that paint Model Master Fiery Orange?

Thanks for the comment and yes it is indeed firey orange. I like that line of paint. Its nice to spray a pint of that quality right out of the can. Thanks again!
seeker589 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 That looks great! At least you were still modeling - I stopped building all-together. Now I'm back and teaching myself stuff all over again. Welcome back - this message board is like one great big family - and the magazine isn't bad either.

Welcome back - this message board is like one great big family - and the magazine isn't bad either. Thanks seeker. Trust me Im learning alot as well even though I have been modeling. Auto modeling has improved alot in the last 20 or so years especially the detailing and the paint finish area. Im glad to be here.

Bob PS: I was born in Providence.. So we got that goin... Hey Bob! Glad to see a fellow RIer here even if you were just born here. RI is a tough state as far as finding fellow modelers. As you probably know Mass has a few clubs but theres not much here in RI. I like drag as well as oval cars. Im working on the new Revell Chitown as well as the early 1990s Leeroy Yarbrough Cyclone now. Talk soon and thanks!
