Last night, I completed the nose with lights and grille.

The rear vent with markers and backup lights are complete and mounted to the body.

I completed the taillight assemblies last night before turning in. I took a page from my photoetch experience and used clear gloss enamel to glue the clear lenses together instead of model glue which would marr the surface if I wasn't spot on with part placement.

This is really looking good! For windows, lenses, etc., I use craft Tacky Glue. It's kind of a thick white glue, and I've had great results with it. I have the Testor's clear glue with the needle tip applicator, but somehow, I always return to Tacky Glue applied with a toothpick.

Don, the seat color is Model Master Insignia Red, thinned and sprayed through my airbrush.

I also use Tacky Glue. I have some of the Testors Clear Parts Cement, but I have only used it once. I can't wait to see this build finished, Mike!

That's because the clear covers are not on yet! ;) The covers are mounted on the outside of the body after the taillights are mounted on the inside.

I have achieved a turning point on the SLR...the body is starting to come together!
