curt raitz Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Just finished another F1 Model... this being the 1/20th scale Lotus 79 from Hasegawa #FG3 What a beautiful kit, everything went together flawlessly I was very apprehensive about painting a black model, but Tamiya's TS-14 did the job. Application of the decals on this model are not for the weak-of-heart, you have to be very patient and careful. I did clear coat (Tamiya TS-13) over the decals, because this is a shiny race car...saw it at Long Beach I decided to build Ronnie Peterson's car as raced in the German Grand Prix, cuz everyone builds Mario's winning car from this race... plus he has a cool lookin' helmet! Another nice touch to the Hasegawa kit is the inclusion of the helmet and decals for it. Thanx for lookin'...
