it has been reported that here in NC that the penalities for "Shrub" could be hefty. Typically reckless driving at nearly three times the posted speed limit will result in a 30 day suspension of your license, regardless if you are a NASCAR driver.

I am sure he will have a good lawyer help him plead his case but expect Joe Gibbs to weigh in on the matter and I would bet money that he does some public speaking about the dangers of driving reckless as a result.

Like him or not, the kid can flat out drive a racecar. I think he is a bit pompous and quite arrogant and therefore not a huge fan of him but I do admire how he can take an ill handling car and run it. He does remind me of how Dale Sr. drove and maybe that is why some folks don't like him.

Shame he didn't lip off to the cop and get tasered...

Watching him twitch while attatched to the barbs of a Taser would be WAY more fun that watching NASCAR.

And, I give him credit, at least, for not pulling a "Don't you know who I am?" on the cop who pulled him over, like his brother did when he got stopped a few years back ...

Ah but we don't really know if he did or did not do we? I mean...we weren't there. The only 2 people on earth who know that for sure is the cop and him. Maybe he didn't and if so, I too would give him credit for that as you said. Or maybe he did and it made no difference to the cop. Or maybe it never needed to be said...I mean in that area of the country maybe the cop recognized him immediately???

One of my fellow Troopers here in Connecticut gave Superman a ticket once...a long time ago. He got Chris Reeve somewhere in the 90's (mph) I believe. He told me at first he thought about just letting him go but then he thought about all the speeding tickets given to regular Joe working stiffs who make no where close to what Reeve made and said to himself, "This guy can afford it much better than a regular Joe." Same thing with another cop when he stopped David Letterman. Then Letterman of course joked about it on his TV show. Was pretty funny actually.

I think he could beat "reckless" in court.....Careless or stupid...nope ;):D

After the stupid stunt he pulled with Kevin Harvick pushing and unmanned car on pit road, he's all three!!

Shame he didn't lip off to the cop and get tasered...

I'D PAY TO WATCH THAT, OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!! :(:lol::lol:

I,see a lot of BIG E in that young man. I'm also surprised he didn't push the cops car out of the way when the officer got out-LOL!!!

WHERE IN THE BLEEEP DO YOU SEE BIG E IN THAT POMPOUS ARROGANT BLEEEEEEEEEP!?!?!?! :(:lol:

I'm sorry, but I'm a diehard Dale Sr fan, and I don't see any Dale Sr in that idiot!!! Dale Sr didn't whine and cry like this crybaby does, and I would bet if Dale was still around, he would have already gave the little crybaby an attitude adjustment into the outside wall!

Matt, the only comparison that I made between Shrub and Dale Sr. is the ability to take an ill handling racecar and make it a winner. Personality-wise, they are worlds apart. Like I said, he can flat out drive a racecar and wins at all three levels of NASCAR racing.

I am not a Shrub fan, I started following NASCAR in the '70's thanks to Richard Petty and really became a fan in the early 80's watching Dale Sr. I was at Daytona in '90 when Dale was half a lap away from winning when he ran over some debris and Derrick Cope won his only race. NASCAR racing isn't the same since Dale died, at least for me, and even though it is race weekend here in Charlotte, I will probably avoid watching the race because I don't find it as fun as I used too.

Dale would put him into the wall and just say "Rubbin's racin'", then off camera use his fist to mop up Whiney's tears. Why do you call him "Shrub"?

Shrub is the nickname other drivers gave him because he is the younger brother of Kurt Busch. A shrub is a smaller bush...Get it?

I agree that if Shrub had raced against Dale Sr., he might be a different person.

this sure has gotten around....I saw him (didn't know it was him) in the LFA going down the highway towards Troutman while I was on my way back to work. I was like "wow!!! an LFA!!"

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I'll watch the race, maybe even fall asleep and rewatch the parts I miss in the DVR, and that is something I never did before Dale died. Before, Sunday was my day, you did not call me, you did not come over to visit unless you were coming to watch the race, and you dare not interupt me while the race was on. Now, if I miss it, I'll speed through it in the DVR, maybe watching the last 10 laps.

Of course Sunday is a little different, day starts at 7:30AM EDT with the F1 race from Monaco, then on to Indy, then finally to Charlotte for the 600, by estimations of TV listing times, at least 15 hours of racing coverage!! B)

I know Harvick threw a punch and their was bad blood at that time but that really was the most reckless thing he as done. Not only harmed another driver but officials, fans, and crew members. While I think Nascar needs more attitude what he did their was COMPLETELY uncalled for and should have warranted some sort of penalty.
