Gregg Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Here's the link to the photos of the new Convertible '64 Falcon from Trumpeter: 64 Falcon Convertible Pictures
RodneyBad Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Good to be King, Eh? Your build of the Hardtop sold me, now can you do that to the Convertible??
59-Desoto Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Looks like a good move forward for Trumpter and I have my eye on the Ranchero they have on the way
Harry P. Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Here's the link to the photos of the new Convertible '64 Falcon from Trumpeter: 64 Falcon Convertible Pictures The problem is the link takes you away from this site, and you can't click "back."
Rob Hall Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 (edited) The problem is the link takes you away from this site, and you can't click "back." Right click the link and select 'Open Link in New Tab'. Works w/ IE, FF, and Chrome. Interesting that the pic marked 'parts new to the convertible' include the taillight trim panel...different between the coupe and conv? Edited May 27, 2011 by Rob Hall
Gregg Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 Harry, I don't know why the link doesn't open in new window. The CP (control panel) is set that way, but it doesn't open in new window. The parts as stated in the heading of the photos are of all the different parts than those in the Hardtop kit For the hardtop pics, see the earlier post/thread. The rear chrome taillight panel only difference is that there is no crest in the center of the gas cap. Go figure!!!
Harry P. Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Right click the link and select 'Open Link in New Tab'. Works w/ IE, FF, and Chrome. Right... but not everyone knows that. They click on the link and they're gone from here.
Chuck Most Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Right... but not everyone knows that. They click on the link and they're gone from here. As if banished to another land... I right clicked as well, but some browsers will open such a link in a new tab.

Yeah, that's a setting in the internet options of the browser...you can set it to open all links in a new tab or a new window. Who knows, though, there may still be a few people around using the old browsers (like IE6 and older) that don't have tabbed browsing... Edited May 28, 2011 by Rob Hall

Who knows, though, there may still be a few people around using the old browsers (like IE6 and older) that don't have tabbed browsing... I JUST downloaded the latest version of Internet Explorer, and figured out how to get it working. Anyway, I've said I'll buy the hardtop, warts and all, and I'm thinking I'll be having a droptop Falcon in my future, too. I just want to see what Gregg does with THIS one.
Rob Hall Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 This kit looks interesting, along w/ the ht. My original AMT '64-65 Falcons are both convertibles, will be interesting to compare. I've seen on one of the other forums that Trumpeter is doing a Ranchero also later this year.

Chuck Most Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 The problem is the link takes you away from this site, and you can't click "back." Figured that out the fun way! For now I'll just right click the link and copy it into my other tab. Forgot all about the Ranchero version (how, I don't know). Gregg- whatcha have in mind for the drop-top?
Dr. Cranky Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I like the simplicity and "clean" look of this kit, which instantly makes it into a great weekend build. I want a few. Yes!
Gregg Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 Trying to get caught up on the projects. Here is the convertible in paint: Tamiya Green Pearl
