Harry P. Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 You can't make pixels smaller. You can only change the size of an image, can't change the size of the pixels... that's built into the camera and/or monitor you have; you can't change their size.

By changing the pixels per inch { resolution } in a photo shop you are actually making them smaller or larger. If you have a picture 4.167x3.19 with a resolution of 72.000 - pixels / inch and you change it to 144,00 pixels / inch you reduced the size by half and the picture size will change to 2.083x1.567.So you can change the pixel size.
