southpier Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) anyone every use paypal for an online purchase and not received their merchandise? i bought some magazines from a member here and was promised shipping as soon as the paypal transaction was completed. then, almost a week after the promised shipping date, i get a story about not having money to ship the goods. then, no answers to subsequent emails. i think i got stuck for 300$ i would be reluctant to enter any transaction with: michael clawson dodgerblue4562@hotmail.com i now have a PayPal dispute open & claim Edited June 3, 2011 by southpier
mikemodeler Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 You don't mention where this transaction occurred- was it on eBay, eModelCars, or in the swap section here on the forum? Sorry to hear your story but hopefully thru PayPal you will get your money back or the product. There is a good trader thread in the swap section, you might want to post something there as well.

southpier Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 You don't mention where this transaction occurred- ..... in the swap section here on the forum?... this. he wanted to swap for kits and i pm'd him asking if he would sell. this was in mid march. he said he was moving and would get back to me when settled. right now i feel i'm out 320$ i never quibbled about price or shipping fees, and even did PayPal at his request so he would have the $$$ quickly. he even thanked me for a "smooth" transaction. i think i got boned .......
Harry P. Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Paypal has a resolution center; they have methods in place to help in case of a dispute. I suggest you go there instead of posting this here. This site does not offer any sort of dispute mediation.
thesnake87 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Yeah hopefully the dispute case works out. I see this all the time with sports cards. Lamest excuse ever especially after you just paying him. You can print USPS and UPS labels right from PayPal for crying out loud lol

LAone Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 paypal is pretty good at handling these kind of cases. even when you get your acct hacked and money stolen, they resolve it fairly quick. sucks to hear this happen, hope all goes well.
