Janne Herajärvi Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Gorgeous. I simply love that shade of green in rear half of car. Oh and its nice to see slant six there.
Harry P. Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Gorgeous. I simply love that shade of green in rear half of car. Oh and its nice to see slant six there. That's no Slant Six. Chrysler has the Slant Six.
Nick Winter Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 That's no Slant Six. Chrysler has the Slant Six. that's correct, that is a Chevrolet Straight Six, and a nicely built one at that, Very Nice build Adam. Nick
Janne Herajärvi Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 That's no Slant Six. Chrysler has the Slant Six. Oh my bad, i should say straight six...
Foxer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Got a feeling you may become a favorite grandson. Beautiful.
Adam deCoste Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Thanks guys, and yes thats a straight six. The engine is from the revell 41 chevy pickup.
charlie8575 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Adam, that came out beautifully. The two-tone green with the brown interior looks really nice. The whole project comes right together. Really great work. Charlie Larkin
High octane Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Awesome build Adam, but it would look MUCH better on MY shelf!
Scalper Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Very nice 55. I really like the color combo. nice clean build.
highway Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I'm not usually crazy about green paint jobs, but this one is great and suits the car very well. Beautiful job Adam! By the way, what paint did you use on the back half?
BKcustoms Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Great job on the 55,the paint looks Amazing! where did you get the darker green?
Adam deCoste Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 The dark green is testors one coat lacquer mystic emerald.
Tom Setzer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Beautiful 55 Belair! Very Well Done! CHEERS! Tom
TheCat Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Adam - that's a great build and love the color combo and engine detail. BRAVO!!
Adam deCoste Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Thanks for all the great comments, I really appreciate it.
W-409 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Really cool! I like the color scheme, and that color in the back of the car is looking awesome. Paintjob is great too. I like the wheels and tires, they look very realistic. So does the engine. Nice to see one Blue Flame six cylinder engine there. I like this one as a model, but if it would be real car, I'd change that engine to Chevy 283". Model looks good anyway.
Harold Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Real clean. I'm kinda jaded (no pun referring to the color ) on tri- five Chevys, but I do like this, right down to the Stovebolt. Sweet.
TheCat Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Adam - a Question - Where did you get the straight six from?
Guest Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Very nice work Adam! That's a model to proud of for sure.
Adam deCoste Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Adam - a Question - Where did you get the straight six from? Its from the revell 1941 chevrolet pickup kit
