So long as it doesn't do what the last in car compressor I had in my Jeep did, the flapper valve broke free and jammed the piston near TDC..........right before the old 70k mile airshocks popped :)

does it have a drain in the tank.....

Air brush compressors don't have tanks. They just pump air and don't store it.

Lownslow, it sounds like something is wearing out. If you can take it apart and do a visual inspection of the compressor, you may find its just dirty and needs to be cleaned. You may find some wear on some components that need replaced. You can probably get the parts you need to repair it from the manufacture of the unit. If the parts are too expensive it may be time for a new one. I know there is some sort of oil in these units and there's no way to monitor the oil unless you take it apart. Could be something as simple as needing oil. IMO, your best bet is just to pull it apart and see what you see and go from there.

I'm reading soaking is it shaking??.....soaking tells me tank of water...Shaking says something is loose inside, jamming the cycling and that will blow the breaker.......

I didn't see it was tankless....Some A/B compressors do have a small 1 gallon tank.......

Never Mind

its a 20 gallon tank i took it out from under the bench and started it up it seems fine againi should drain it its been really humid down here

High humidity effectively raises the compression, water does not compress. That can cause a higher load to trip the breaker. Sounds like you figured it out. Draining the tank is good advice.

drained it and replaced the foam pads it was sitting on and it runs awesome

You should always drain it weekly...or more , as the water in the tank can spray..unless you have a water trap..

Mike is on the money with this one ! It will also cause your your compressor to strain while it's running and shorten it's lifespan ! Far easier to take a minute or two to drain it rather then to have to purchase a new compressor .
