Rade8boy
I have been working slowly on this project, I bought the resn body from Reliable Resin, and I am using the Revell 2008 GT500KR kit, so far the body has had the kits front end glued on and the rear spolier is done. I have the PE set from KA-Models, nice stuff, but horrible instructions, there are parts that are not even called out on any of the pictures shown, I guess it's free style? I am now working on getting the louvers inserted into the hood one is done. I also made the disk brakes. The PE parts are a bit hard to bend, I personally like it that way. Rade8boy
Sorry for the long delay, between work and vacation I have not worked on any models in a while. I have the chassis finished and and the KA Models disk brakes and calipers done. The motor is in th chassis and I am now working on getting the bod yready for paint! With the humid weather in the North East I am letting everything dry twice as long after another project suffered paint lift even after 1 week of drying. Hopefully I will have the body done soon
brodie_83
Looks good! I have this kit somewhere...I didn't like that the wheels/tires are smaller than the 1:1 scale. Other than that, the kit looked pretty good. Pretty cool that you're making a vert out of it. Good luck!
Olskoolrodder
Looks good! I have this kit somewhere...I didn't like that the wheels/tires are smaller than the 1:1 scale. Other than that, the kit looked pretty good. Pretty cool that you're making a vert out of it. Good luck! Not just smaller in scale...the tires are way too tall of a profile compared to the 1:1. Tires not-withstanding (I built mine with the kit wheels/tires too ),it's looking AWESOME so far, should be killer with all the kool detail bits you got! :D
