Corvette.Jeff Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 All you guys have some really nice cars sadly i dont have a daily driver to show off, i have two project cars(ill have to dig up some photos of em) to start is a 80' el camino: right now its completley stock(needs some stuff though) i plan on putting a bb 350 in it with a th350 in her shortly headers and all. my other project is a 1983 datsun 280zx turbo, its got every option you could get on those little cars i plan on pulling the straight six and putting a rb26dett in her itll be a sleep to terrorize the neighbors
B-dub Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 A 2001 ford taurus SES that has been the most unreliable car I have ever seen... trans went out.... trans replaced... Idle pully went out.. replaced... tension pully replaced.... tendion arm snapped...replaced... also replaced the idle pully again.. and a belt.. then the car over heated... pressure cap malfuncioned and the ressy busted... $60 for a plastic tank to hold coolant? GOOD GREIF! ... cap also replaced... then the car over heated.. thermostat replaced.. battery replaced... altenator is screwed up.. wiring nightmare.. dash lights havnt worked for a couple years... the blinker lights constantly stay lit up instead of dash lights... (so I have a couple blue LEDs for the dash light)... the dome light works...sometimes.. transmission is slipping again.. after a seal busted and was fixed an refilled before it even drained.. but it is now slipping again.. great.. everytime i pull out of a parking lot shifting from 1st - 2nd laggs and I leave screeching the tires as if i were P/oed.... waterpump is supposedly bad .. new one sitting in my car... freeze plug came out.. so it has tto be put in before coolant added... oh and apparently the temp sensor is also malfunctioning since i will only get a cold.. or a normal warm reading when really if i pop the hood it starts boiling over... nice... just what i need.. another cracked tank... OH... and the head is supposedly cracked or just a blown gasket.... yet if i go out right now and turn the key over it will start right up .... just to mock me... I'm about ready to take it out and run it hard until it locks up and never runs again... (zukiholic now you see why I'm hoping that dodge ram deal works out for me... hhahahaha and when i was still able to drive it i was literally only getting like 12mpg... so at least the dodge would be a strong runner.. )

MarkJ Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I drive a 2002 Trailblazer every day to work but Our new vehicle we got last summer is a 2008 Equinox Sport. It looks just like the picture below but its black. My wife saw one at the car show and fell in love with it. I wanted her to get an Impala SS with the V8 but she said it was too big for her to handle. We could have got it for just about the same price that we paid for the Equinox. The little "Effer" will get up and go but it has alot of torque steer and the first time I went to pass an 18 wheeler on a twisty 2 lane road it scared the you no what out of me. You'd think by now they could have solved that problem. Maybe the motor just puts out too much power for the suspension. It's still alot of fun to drive for an suv but I really would have rather had the Impala SS.

My hobby car, is a 55 Chevy 210 2dr Sedan. I am currently making it more and more like a sixties gasser. I'll be nostalgia drag racing with it this summer at Morrocco Dragstrip in Indiana.

Chrysler Pacifica, 2002 Dakota 4.7 magnum and I used to own 74 Road Runner with police interceptor package. the RR was traded car for car for the Pacifica because my old 91 Blazer S10 had pooped out and I couldnt afford a new car. Then my 91 Ford explorer started to do the same...so we had no choice and took out some equity from the house and bought the Dodge Dakota.

I painted the front grill surround to match the rest of the truck and added the visor, which I also painted to match. My son got me the custom grill for Christmas last year and I added the wheels over this past summer. 66k on it now... Hosted on Fotki

Mounty will be traded soon i like the truck but it must go

Helipilot16 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Here are two of mine. The first is my 70 Cutlass street/strip car. Its best ET at 4200 feet elevation is 12.54. The second is Nancy's race car. It is a 79 Cutlass with the engine shown. It runs low tens on the motor, with no adders. My 70 had a dash fire which burned out the interior. It is currently being rebuilt.
