hi Philip,

first i want to say, that this is a kit, that i am waiting for to built it too. But, i will build it as near to the original concept car as i can.

So... your idea, to combinate it with other technology i think good, but with the highboy standing...its not my taste. The color you have choosed looks fine.

Next my impression.

I think, you have build it to fast. What happened with the front hood? In your "wip"-thread i could not find anything about it. Also, you can see putty on the front end, that is not sanded well. For my own, this points tarnish the overall impression. Thats my personal opinion.

Not perfect but i like it!if you are referring to the hood scoop,I had to cut a hole in the hood due to the high-rise intake and carb.I cut the hood scoop out of a '66 Vette, reversed it and cut it open in the front.

It came out pretty much the way that I wanted it.I like the high stance and i could have had it lowered but i didn't want to!That is the nice thing about models...you can build them any way that you want! Not everyone one will like it but thats life!

Your build inspired me to dig out the two pearl colors that I had and do a test shoot on some spoons. Now I'll have to get a Futura kit and go at it!! Nice color green. I'm not sure about the high rider look.:D

Philo it's very cool that you feel this way and are taking the criticism in stride. We see a lot of folks that don't take these sort of responces well. If you are happy with the end result, that's what matters because it's gonna be on your shelf not mine. I'll give you kudos, just for taking an unusual subject, having a vision and seeing it through. Nice work.

Well you have to understand that I wouldn't post pics of a model if i wan't proud of it.Does it have flaws?Yes but I am pleased with it.Others criticism will not anger me as some of it is valid and can be improved upon on future builds.Other people didn't like the stance or the color but that is a subjective value judgement on their part.I could have lowered it into the weeds but I was going for the highboy look and that is exactly what i achieved! Now i have to determine what my next project will be!

Good for you, Philo! People should not let criticism anger them ... anger is not a feeling that should even come into play. While the term "criticism" covers a lot of territory, most of the type of "criticism" seen on this board is constructive criticism ... offered in good faith / good spirit and meant to help the builder to improve skills/techniques or at least to consider other styles/approaches to building. From what I've seen, most of the "criticism" around here is intended as a positive suggestion or opinion, and not meant to hurt or anger or provoke the builders of the subjects of the "criticism."

Unfortunately, the term "criticism" is also applied to attitudes of negativity. Very little of what is branded "criticism" is actually mean-spirited; however, it does happen. Frankly, I wouldn't even call that variety of commentary "criticism" ... instead it just seems to be provocation. In the vernacular of some local laws, it could be called "Fighting Words." Statements intended to provoke a combative, confrontative, angry response.

It rarely happens, but when it does occur, it seems to immediately and predictably result in exactly the intended reaction ~ anger. And the anger feeds and escalates the verbal combat and ... fighting words.

So, your refusal to be angered by any variety of "criticism" is precisely the adult approach ... accept the positive, constructive criticism for what it is and learn from it as you see fit ... and ignore the negative provocative 'fighting words' veiled in the sheep's clothing of "criticism" so as not to fed the anger kitty.

Would that everyone takes the same approach! Then, there'd be no 'lockdowns.'

Exactly!I am very secure so I do not get upset like some other forum members do.They take critiques as personal attacks when the majority of the time it was only meant to be helpful. In the case of "trolling' comments my policy is; Don't feed the troll!Ignorant and/or stupid comments will be ignored.Although I have never personally been subjected to them. After all this hobby is all about the fun and challenge of building model cars. Some people tend to lose sight of that!
