DrewCfromSC Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Hello, going to the hobby store later today. Im building a scratchbuilt dirt track car. Any idea what scale plastic rectangle tubing would be cloase to 2"x3" real life? Any online conversion charts avalible for this type questions? Thanks! Drew C.
SSNJim Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I don't know about any conversion charts, but the size would be the prototype size divided by the scale. 2"/25 = .08", 3"/25 = .12", so the closest standard size would be .080" X .125" for 1/25.
Eric Stone Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I'm pretty sure Evergreen makes some rectangular rod (maybe tubing too, I'm not sure) in 2mm x 3mm.
DrewCfromSC Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 Thank you both! Well after getting the lawn mowed, taking my wife out for lunch the Hobby Town store was closed today! Thats great for them but not for me. Oh well guess its online shopping now! Drew C.
