scalenut Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Every time I try to do something weathered it ends up shinny and polished LOL! Great job Virgil maybe one day you'll teach me how you do it. What are you waiting for >..?
Dr. Cranky Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Well, whatdayaknow? . . . who is that? Thanks for the support. EYEGORE just cracked a huge smile!
Mooneyzs Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Virgil... Great job on this build. It is awesome. I really need to pic up your book on weathering models. Keep up the great work.
von Zipper Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Your truck is a true work of ART ! I keep coming back to look at it over and over again, finding something new every time. It's like telling a story with pictures. Thank You for sharing your talent. ( I think I can smell the rust when it's on my screen?)
Larryhagmansliver Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 You're on a roll lately! Good stuff
Dr. Cranky Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Thank you all for making this hobby so much fun. Cheers!
Lanny Haas Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 that truned out great, Im learning some more from you thank you,
Dr. Cranky Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Wow, Lanny, that looks like--wait, EYEGORE has started to drool--a perfect yard mule. Love it. The tires are excellent and that crunched up rear fender looks very good too. Delighted you are living by this anthem: LONG LIVE RUST!
B-dub Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 this is the model I actually chose to get me back into modeling.. as a kid I built quite a few of the pre-painted plastic kits from walmart and I've never actually finished a full model since those vanished.. I've actually been watching your youtube channel for inspiration while I work on it. nothing really accomplished yet.. sanded down just about all the parts and have glued the bed together.. I plan to paint it an army flat type green and make it look more like an old beater as best I can.
David G. Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 All of a sudden I'm hearing the theme from the TV show Sanford and Son in my head! Cool truck Doc! David G.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Thanks, David. I heard it too while I was working on it!
Joker Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Enjoyed the whole build process Doc but I got to say that taped and crack rear window gives me the giggles every time. Thanks for sharing your imagination.
