Terry Jessee Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Okay, for some reason when I try to post a photo, it turns the fotki thing into a link so that the old HTML coding doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it? Thanks, Terry
scalenut Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 let it post the link, so it can find and display the photo
71drolds Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 i always use photobucket. when you load a photo, resize it to the predetermined "large" size. then go to share, options, and link codes. use the one for forums. copy and paste it in your post.
Chuck Most Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 For Fotki, click on the 'Share' button just above the image. This will bring up a box, and the first thing you will see is Image URL for use on other sites:. Left-click on the adress just below that, and it will turn orange and a 'copied' message will appear. Then come back to the MCM editor, and click on the image icon, just below the 'sizes' box. When you do that, another box will pop up. Then simply move the cursor into the text box and right-click to paste. Click OK, and the image will appear in the edit box.

sjordan2 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) All this Fotki right click/left click PC stuff I don't understand, being on Mac. You don't have to resize anything that you upload onto Photobucket. The forum will do it for you automatically. • Just upload your photo from your computer to your free Photobucket account. • Once it's uploaded, just place your cursor on your uploaded image in the window and a series of fields will appear below, as you see here. • Click on the bottom IMG Code line and it will will say Copied. • After that, you just go to your post window and paste that link into it [hold down the command key and hit v on your keyboard]. At that point, you will just see the code letters, until you hit SAVE at the bottom of the post box. Then you're good to go. Here is this forum's tutorial, which is actually a bit more complicated than it needs to be: http://www.modelcars...showtopic=12248 Edited September 13, 2011 by sjordan2
Chuck Most Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 You don't have to resize anything that you upload onto Photobucket. The forum will do it for you automatically. Ditto Fotki.
MikeMc Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 i always use photobucket. when you load a photo, resize it to the predetermined "large" size. then go to share, options, and link codes. use the one for forums. copy and paste it in your post. NEVER shrink an original....you can resize and save a copy...".Once shrunk....always junk" sorta fits this....
