Scalper Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Hello , I just wanted to share My wip on my 58 Belvedere here is some progress shots.
Scalper Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Had some problems with the paint. The wind caught some of the spray and made some spots/drip Marks Hopefully it will be able to fix. Any advise and any comments welcomed . Thanks for looking.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Wow, I am really loving that color . . . very nice. And it's going to look great with the interior. Keep it going, it's going to be a fabulous model in your collection.
Scalper Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Thanks Cranky. Any tips on how to fix the paint?
Dr. Cranky Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Sand it lightly with 1500 grade with water and a little soap--very gently--and then respray another coat. That should do it, I hope. Keep me posted.
Mark Crowel Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Looks like this beauty will be showroom stock. Looking good.
Dominik Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 nice color! good luck with it and keep on posting

gman Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 That is a good looking shade of green. Mind sharing what kind of paint you're using?
Ramfins59 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Great color Andre......it looks like you're going through a "green phase" at the moment.
Scalper Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 Hey Greg from Van .. the colour I am using is model master Citrus Yellow Metallic rattle can .. Not an easy paint to use
gman Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hey Greg from Van .. the colour I am using is model master Citrus Yellow Metallic rattle can .. Not an easy paint to use I have a can of that somewhere...it looks beautiful on the car. Is coverage the problem or the way it sprays from the nozzle? Maybe a candidate for decanting and spraying through an airbrush?
jsc Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I love this car!! You are doing a super job! Did the white walls come in the kit?
Scalper Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Hey Greg could just be the nozzle. but not sure. after I sprayed a few passes it would bubble like crazy from the nozzle then would have to wipe it clean then do another pass. and sometimes nothing came our or it would spit was very tricky to get a nice coat on.. John yes the white walll came with the kit 2 peice. had to glue the white part on.
Scalper Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 I think I will work on this on the weekend. Got BMF check. Got sharpe blades check. Got free time. I will make some.

Scalper Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Well just pulled her out from the box. Needs a little dusting and lots of BMF. Lots of dusting. Thanks for looking.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 That color reminds me of the '58 Plymouth that I built. Mine is painted off white with a sort of gold-green top & interior. Keep up the good work Andre! Looking good so far! Steve
Mopar - D Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Andry glad to see you pull this back out looking forward to see it with BMF
