BMF and paint over polish

This is my first attempt at doing things this way, and as the title states, is it better to paint or add BMF trim before or after polishing the body? I will polish the body first with Meguiare's Scratch-X, then Novus or MicroMesh.

I paint, clear, sand, and polish (Novus #2) the body before BMF. After BMF is complete, I give the body a coat of The Treatment Model Car Wax.

I've used Scratch X before foil quite a bit. Not only is it workable,the foil sticks much better to a polished surface.
