IMHO, the German military searchlight truck needed to be in one of the military classes. GREAT model but classified wrongly.

Was Classic Plastic offering a separate class for scratchbuilt?

I agree on the spotlight being in the military class....and if there was a scratch built class, I agree on that as well.

I've been to alot of shows...I have never seen a scratch built category...Commercial is Commercial, unless it is broken down into "axles" and or light/heavy duty.

Mis-classing must be popular.... at the recent Toronto show, the Heavy/Commercial class was won by a modified First Gear die cast!

I believe the "commercial" class should be broken down into classes that the real trucks have,

class 5, 6, 7 and 8, off road/heavy equipment.

I agree with everbody, there should be a class just for scratch built trucks. I hope my lonestar comes out like that. The color is cool. You did a very nice job on that build.

yes it is testors one coat lime ice but the clear is a can of rustoleum..

The Lonestar looks great Gordon!!! You were "robbed" at the show you went to!! You should have protested about the classification of the "spotlight" entry!! I've seen that done several times,Most of the times the "protest" was legitimate and worked out!!! If I felt I was done wrong in judging/or classification I spoke up!! It may sound like "whinning",But "Right is Right" and "Wrong is Wrong"...If you don't speak up...You will get "Passed over" every time!!! But, Best of Luck on the next show!!! I Mean that!!!! Roy
