h3ae86 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 i just bought the revell '41 chevy pickup last night, and I'm thinking of doing a shop truck or something ratty. I've looked for inspiration on google but nothing really peaked my intrest. I was wondering if anyone here might have some cool '41 chevy pictures to inspire me.
h3ae86 Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Do a google image search. I did and didn't really find anything

Chuck Most Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 To broaden the search, check the years 1941 through 1946- all GM trucks were virtually identical for that body style.
h3ae86 Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 You already did the google image search and nothing interested you??? Well, I shouldn't have said nothing interested me because I'd be lying I suppose. I just didn't find anything that I could pull off with my skill.
Longbox55 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Here's a whole gallery of '41-early '47 Chevy/GMC trucks http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery41-46.htm, courtesy of Stovebolt.com.
Jantrix Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Try here as well. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/ As for what you can pull off with your skill. Skills don't improve unless you challenge yourself. Get an idea of what you want to do and go for it. A shop truck sounds good and not much body work involved. If it's techniques you are unsure of, we have techniques coming out our ears here. Just ask. We got a whole section of "How do I?" dedicated to that.
Aaronw Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Not 1941 Chevy specific but here is a site I found a couple years ago. There are lots of old shop trucks, maybe something will catch your eye. http://www.pbase.com/czechman/door_art
