Oh yeah!

We'd go on those doggone 4-5 mile runs and be right up against the boundry fence between MCRD and NTC. Then the masochistic bassiges would run us next to the fence between MCRD and Lindbergh Field. Nothing like being in phase three and watching those airliners come and go all day. Lovely.
