Randy D Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Looks really good Tyrone, Love the rims!! What are you using for seat belt material? Thanks, Randy
SuperStockAndy Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Oooh, nice! Those Torq Thrusts look pretty good on there. Happy birthday by the way
tyrone Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 thanks Andy, and Randy the seatbelt material is good ole Johnson & Johnson medical tape colored with a black sharpie @ Andy thanks for the b-day wishes bro...
mikemodeler Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Nice to see your builds again Tyrone! The details and cleanliness of them makes me jealous! Keep them coming.
shucky Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Nice Tyrone, stance and wheels/tires look great. Can't wait to see it finished.
W-409 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 This one looks good! I'm suprised to see something else than Drag Cars from your bench. Something bit different. Engine detailing looks good, and those wheels fit prefectly. And Happy Birthday!
tyrone Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 I've got some paint on this one and added the decals, more updates soon...
Modellpularn Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Looks good, and I like the wheels....! But have to be a little nitpicky.... ohh here we go again... The valve covers, at least the right side is upside down. See, that funny looking small round thing at the edge of the valve cover, is an opening for a breather hose that goes to the base of the air cleaner. Also, big block valve covers have uneven bolts; three on one side - towards the intake, and four on the other side - towards the exhaust. I've seen some model companies mold eight bolts on the valve covers, thinking that's correct. No! Well, now you know.....
Nova-ss Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Looks great.nice job on the old Nova.Thanks,Chris
tyrone Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 What did those rims come off of? These wheels and tires are from the r/m stars and stripes corvette, they are also in the r/m 68 corvetteL88 rebel racer. thanks for the observation about the valve cover, I'll correct those tonight..
SuperStockAndy Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Been a while Tyrone, but it was worth the wait.
nboldman Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 is that the motor that came with the kit? because thats an awesome motor!
tyrone Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Thanks guys, Nathan this is the kit engine I'm going to be adding a little more detail to the engine bay, heater hoses, brake lines from the master cylinder, and some wiring... thanks again...
