Depending on the subject of what I'm asking/looking for, I go to here because you guys know alot more than what (most) internet searches comes up with...though sometimes, I perform a searches on the internet for info, shops, and how to's.

I use Norton Safe Search because I don't trust Google. My Sister while looking coupons for Dove soap via Google Images, and had a Trojankillerapp - Type.B try to attack her computer (Norton blocked it tnx god).

I've had slightly better luck with Bing, but yeah, normally the search engines are my first choice. But there are some times where just skipping to maloo and asking the experts is the best course of action.

All good points made so far. But I think Rob's initial point was more about people who ask things like "where can I get an AMT XXXXX kit?" or questions like that.

Sure, there are questions that will probably be better answered by posting them here and tapping into all the knowledge available from other members, but many questions can be answered almost immediately with a simple google search.

I have answered literally dozens of questions like that for other members here over the years. Sometimes I wonder why the person didn't just do the search himself in the first place? So I do the search, I find the answer, I post it. But come on! At least try doing the search first before you ask us to do it for you.
