sebivens Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Does anybody know of a resin Olds Vista Cruiser?? Looking in particular for a 1966 but could work with others....
george 53 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Try askin Steve Kohler overt Star Models. He sells R&R kits and i THINK Ray does a Vista cruiser. I don't recall what year it is, though.
Steven Zimmerman Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I have one of those R&R Vista cruisers, and would not buy another one. I know that a new resin Vista Cruiser is being mastered at this time.
Chuck Most Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 The R&R is a '64, and depending on how good you are working with resin, you might want to think twice before you go with an R&R kit.
sebivens Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Thanks guys. Atleast I knowthere is something out there I can work with if need be. Its going to be a little while before I can get started on it, so I will wait to see if something else is mastered if not I will give the R&R a shot
mytricia Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) i have 2 r&r resin kits i got from steve at star models.i would not hesitate to buy another, matter of fact i'm getting ready to order a couple more. Edited October 13, 2011 by mytricia
george 53 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 ALOT of R&R's stuff is iffy, but Steve WILL let ya know just what it'll take ta make 'em right. I ONLY buy from him or Ray directly. One way to tell if it's a good kit is to SEE it an check it out. The other way is just ASK Steve what it's like. He'll be honest and WON'T steer ya wrong. Rays kit are NOT for beginners. An THAT'S a FACT!!!
Eshaver Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 George , Ray hiss self in the past lied to me and I can show an example . We nearly had it out one time in Manassas Virginia an he found out , I won't back off too. Steve , on the other hand , no problems . Ed Shaver
cortinanut Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I know that a new resin Vista Cruiser is being mastered at this time. Are you able to share any info on the new Vista Cruiser? I would dearly love to get my hands on such a kit.
PARTSMARTY Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 i will amit the couple r&r resin kits i got were not vista cruisers.1 was a 66 biscayne and the other was a 64 chevy wagon touche,! marty
Edsel-Dan Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I too know of some one building a Vista-Cruiser, But NOT for resin casting., though I wish It Was! It has been a while since he has updated any progress on the email group, so do not know how much is left to do. I would Love to see a 72. Done up as an H/O Indy pace car And before anyone says they did not do that IMS had 2 0of them for trackside Doctors during the month!!! One was shown restored not too long ago.
