Moparkid13 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 I've done a little bit of work to it.. I removed the huge looking hood scoop and am in the process of filling the huge hole. and I was gonna use these wheels on a 63 vette but they look pretty good on this so now i'm not sure...... I bought the uptown charger with the scissor doors just for the spoke rims it has but they're waaaayyyy to big for the 'cuda.. oh well

Moparkid13 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 I was just thinkin " I wonder how a low profile spoiler would look on this or even like a duckbill spoiler" lmk what you think
Moparkid13 Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 C'mon guys I need suggestions on a spoiler and where I could get it from.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Oh, I think you are saving it, I like the way it's looking. I was going to suggest a Salt Flat speed setter or something . . .
Moparkid13 Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Oh, I think you are saving it, I like the way it's looking. I was going to suggest a Salt Flat speed setter or something . . . Not sure exactly what you mean by that???
george 53 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 He's talkin Streamliner, Phillip. It's commin out real nice! you did a GREAT job of savein it, it looks pretty cool so far!
Eshaver Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You have the makings of a Great Chrysler Prototype car ............... go fer it ! Ed Shaver

Spoiler #1 100_1795 by moparkid13, on Flickr 100_1796 by moparkid13, on Flickr Spoiler #2 100_1798 by moparkid13, on Flickr 100_1799 by moparkid13, on Flickr
W-409 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 This would be cool prototype car... But I'd like to go without spoiler. Other way which would look cool, Drag Car. I don't know, where it is heading, but nice job with it so far, I'm watching.
Moparkid13 Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 The more I look at it the more I like #1. I just realized Ive got the 71 barracuda also so I'll try that spoiler tomorrow
Eshaver Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Phillip, instead of building a car we might suggest , you need to design a "Prototypical " that you would find faithful to what Chrysler minds were selling in the day . Ed Shaver
Moparkid13 Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 ok got i little more bondoing done and found a set of wheels and tires i wanna use. Im pretty sure im going to use this spoiler unless I can find a stock one 100_1801 by moparkid13, on Flickr 100_1802 by moparkid13, on Flickr 100_1800 by moparkid13, on Flickr

ghost_pit2001 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 that spoiler looks great,,,,id keep it on there!!! nice work
Erik Smith Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 You have put a lot of work into this build already. It's looking better and better. I think it's cool to ask for suggestions, but ultimately it's your build, so go with what you like best.
Moparkid13 Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Thank you Erik... And jus cause I ask for peoples suggestions don't mean I'm gonna use them I jus like to tap into other peoples imaginations as well as mine
Moparkid13 Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 Well I seem to be at a standstill with bodywork and sanding at the moment. everytime i sand the hood the dang putty cracks. The plastic I used to fill the hole was too thin and it bends and causes it to crack.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Can't wait to see more progress on this one.
Chuck Most Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 that's what it is is bondo spot putty. I had read that it works very well. anything u suggest? If you are using the Bondo spot putty, go with the two-part stuff- the stuff that comes with the big tube of putty and the small tube of hardener. the single-part stuff can shrink over time, and can eat into the plastic depending on how much is applied.
