Tom Setzer Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Here are some images of the 32 Ford 3 Window I am building. I have wired the engine, added a vaaccum Advaance with the vaccum line going to the intake manifold as the Ford Advance will not work hooked to a carb in a multi carb set up. The Motor is an 8CM Flathead with an ARDUN kit. I have the fittings for the Oil Filter lines installed. and I have Weathered the engine and suspension lightly to show that the car is a driver, that is well maintained. The paint on the Body is Gray Primer polished to a semi gloss, the fram is also gray primer. The interior has been painted to look like cloth. I have used parts from several different kits, Resin Parts from R&MCoM, and Photo etched parts from MCG. Everyone tell me what you think of what I have done so far! I had Carb Linkage on the Carbs, but My Grandson got a hold of it and messed it up, I also have to replace the Tie rod as he broke it also. CHEERS! Tom
Tom Setzer Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 I also Did a little weathering on the interior including a couple of oil spots on the driver side floor board. I will post more as I make progress on this build. I also have a thirties Gow Job Roadster, and A couple of others on the Bench. CHEERS! Tom
Tom Setzer Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Virgil Thanks! I have to wait on a few parts to get here from MCG, Bob usually ships fast and I get what I ordered within Two or Three Days. CHEERS! Tom

sjordan2 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) This is coming along great. That gauge cluster is magnificent. Maybe the interior upholstery panels could use a very subtle wash? Or did you do that when you said you did some interior weathering? Edited October 4, 2011 by sjordan2
charlie8575 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 That gauge cluster is magnificent. Absolutely agree on that. HOW? I've tried for years to get my gauges to come out that nicely, and it's never worked. Yours look great. Charlie Larkin

Charlie Larkin I put a small drop of 5 min. Epoxy on each guage face to create a lens. You just put the drop of epoxy in the center of the guage faces and let it spread out to cover the guage faces then set it aside in a dust free place to dry. When it is dry it looks like glass. I did a light wash on all of the upholstery to bring out the detail, but for some reason it doesn't show up in the photos, I think I got my lighting too bright when I took the photos. CHEERS! Tom
