Here's some pics of my latest build, a Revell 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo. It's painted in Testors Lime Ice with Testors Green Go stripes. After the clear dried, I sanded, polished, and waxed. I tried to graft a Corvette cowl induction center section to the hood and used a set of wheels from the parts bin. Engine is wired & plumbed.

Great job with it. I like the color and paintjob is great too. Engine detailing looks also very nice, and wheels look good. Great to see these without too big wheels, or something else, which is too modern...

Oha! The green stripes i only can see on the roof and trunklid. It is really decent and - my estimation - the green is such a strong color, that your polish/waxing is difficult to see. On a black or other dark paintjob it would be more shiny.

But all fit well together and is a exceptional Monte carlo Jim.

Thanks, guys. That hood kicked my butt.

Hmmmmm, the way I see it, YOU kicked that hood's butt. Nice Mr. CrazyJim sir, very nice.

I love when an interior contrasts and compliments the body color for that whole, "Yeah, I am Green... and you don't have a problem with it !!", attitude.

Thank you, fellas. Maybe I need to adjust the angle of the camera for better pics. I think I finally got the hang of doing carb linkage, so it's on every build nowadays.

Just an observation as I revisit this build: perhaps if the engine compartment was painted black them it would be a perfect backdrop to show off the engine detail.

Thanks guys. That's just Ken's Fuzzy Fur over slightly diluted Elmer's glue.

The paint is pretty smooth after sanding, polishing, and waxing.

Thanks again.
