Jantrix Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 (edited) Coming up we have the annual MAGS show at the SESRN on the 15/16 of October. It's at the Tampa Fairgrounds in the indoor vendor area. The car show is $14 (yep you gotta pay for it), the model contest is $7 for all the models you wanna hump in there. Parking is $5 and your Sunday re-entrance to the show is free for entering the model contest as awards are given on Sunday. I recomend this one, it's put on by a good bunch of guys. Jantrix Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Folks, I'm really sorry for the lousy pics. With good light and background my 5 megapix phone cam usually does well, but did not do so here. Some fantastic work here in Tampa. Check out the pics. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/Jantrix/SESRN%20Models%2011/?start=0
Nitrozilla Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Great pics Rob. There be some bodacious builds and no shortage of rods. Liked that double engine rail in the dio.
fatkidd Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 so i got off of my butt & uploaded the pics i took. i had a great time at the show and talking to fellow (and female) model builders. Congrats to jantrix & imcrazyjim for their awards. http://s19.photobuck...20model%20show/
Jantrix Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 Thanks Paul and I'd say you had better luck with pics there than I did. There just wasn't enough light for macro. Grats on your award too.
crazyjim Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 What great time, guys! Besides an excellent job by MAGS, there was heavy discussion about painting techniques, carb linkage, and a hinge jig that I can't & won't post pics of. I posted pics of the model car show under the Florida auto/truck thread and the 1:1 car show under the 1:1 reference section.
crazyjim Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Ken - is that you? Gorgeous Merc. Didn't you make a surfboard for one of your builds? There's another thread here about surfboards and I thought you made one out of paint stir sticks.
Jantrix Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 Ken welcome to the board. Hows the weather up there?
