Bill Edman
why do u lay the foil first?
W-409
why do u lay the foil first? I think, that when it's layed- then paint primer and after the rear color some polishing and then that text comes out, so it's like polishing the paint off from that spot. Am I correct? ewaskew
I think, that when it's layed- then paint primer and after the rear color some polishing and then that text comes out, so it's like polishing the paint off from that spot. Am I correct? I've seen it done that way and it looks real. But you have to sand very lightly or all work for the effect is lost.
walt francis
Here you can see where I am rubbing the primer off with a pencil eraser with thinner and I will do this after each coat of primer and paint. Two coats of Dupla-color white primer
Dr. Cranky
Nice job, considering that's pretty hard to make BMF look so good.

walt francis
I didn't think doing the injectors would be a big process This was just a quick mock up of the manifold painted Alum. and red inlay and gloss black injectors...Not real happy Ok, clean them up and tape them off and paint the tips stop light red Met. Strip and repaint the injectors flat black and repaint the manifold all aluminum and next put a black strip around the base of the red on the tubes when they dry...just can't be happy with "It's good enough" headbash
