gray07 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Heres a little update, got the body painted and the seats in, iam building it like my cousins jeep. The body is sitting on frame not glued on yet, got alot more to do.
jeffs396 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 That -7 is looking mighty fine Darrin! Love yellow Jeeps
Chuck Most Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Reminds me of my former boss' '83 '7, only with way less rust.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Hopefully there will be more builds and fun up ahead.
Chuck Most Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 Not to worry- the Matador will be out of project purgatory soon enough- the Hornet is almost done, and the apocalyptic Hummer is only inches away. Even then, I might dig out the Matador when I'm working on the others.
Chuck Most Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Toying around with the Matador today, wondering about slapping twin turbos on that Viper V10. I figure it's not going to clear the stock hood anyway, so why not?
Chuck Most Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 Got the stance dialed in, not sure on those wheels, though.
jeffs396 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Yes the stance looks great Chuck! The rims, well...maybe if you sanded down the outer diameter to allow the centers to fit some Pegasus sleeves...yeah! Give them some depth
Chuck Most Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 The size is about right, and I'll probably use those tires, but it's the design of the wheel I don't care for. I do have some Viper wheels around here somwhere, I might end up using those.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I agree, I'm not crazy about the wheels. The stance is perfect.
Sinister_Kreationz Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 i agree wheels take away from the look, but stance is right on..different strokes for different folks, as long as the builder likes it thats all that matters
Chuck Most Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 Bodywork has begun- '10 Corvette taillamps are roughly grafted into place at this point.
Chuck Most Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Engine bay is mostly there, at least roughed in. Those empty areas in front of each inner fender may be filled with twin turbos eventually.
gray07 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) Heres my amc build, its finished Edited November 30, 2011 by gray07
gray07 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) The hood dose not fit right, this is the monagram jeep with the blue jeep on the cover Edited November 30, 2011 by gray07
Chuck Most Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Looks good. I have to say I've never had much luck getting the hood to fit on that kit, either.
Abell82 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I was hoping somebody would jump in with a Pacer. Now somebody grab a Gremlin and we'll be officially underway. I grabbed a Gremlin! ...but it bit me untill I let it go. And now I think I might have rabbies
Chuck Most Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 I grabbed a Gremlin! ...but it bit me untill I let it go. And now I think I might have rabbies Well... ya shouldn't have fed it after midnight!
Abell82 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I didn't mean for it to eat after midnight...I think it may have ate a "Marlin"
