Figuring out how to make stuff. And finally trying something I never did before and screwing it up the first time, maybe the second, but sticking with it until I figure it out.

After that I would say design. I love being creative and different. Really paying attention to line and pattern. Although... Once I made a master for a resin body. I saw one for sale later and asked the vendor how they were selling. He said not well. I asked why. He said one guy said they were ugly. Either you can't please everyone or I am kidding myself. Go figure. Here it is.

I am an idea man, also. I have worked very hard on the completion aspect of building. Any old fool can start a model but it takes a real builder to finish it!!! I am working on a model I started in 1981! I will do it!!!

My strength might be called getting the most "bang for the buck." Translation: I'm cheap! I've gotten several $5.00 glue bombs from ebay and rebuilt them using mostly stuff from my old (1960's) parts boxes. I also redid some of my old models from that era for very little cost. I like the challenge of making a decent model without spending a bundle on aftermarket items or buying kits just for some of their parts.

My chief strength is surprise... surprise and fear... fear and surprise. My two strengths are fear and surprise.... and a ruthless efficiency. My three strengths are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the board's admins...

Eh? It takes more than one year to unpack the box... :)

That's nothing! I have a kit I bought in 1972 that I haven't taken the shrinkwrap off of yet! And I never will. Actaullay I finished a kit I bought in 1979 last year. I am so proud!

My strengths are my weaknesses and my weaknesses are my strengths and all I need now is for someone to explain to me what I just said. Oh, by the way, I have a 1968 Firebird that I started when I was on Okinawa back in 1968 and it's still not finished. It's just setting in a box lookin kinda cute and waitin patiently fer me to get back to her.  Some day-------------yeah, some day.:) Dan

P.S. I just remembered that I have a 1961 Chevy truck that I built back in 61 and then I decided to redo it and it's still in a box waitin. Now you talk about patience and waiting to get finished. :(:P;)
