Mike Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I've searched the WWW etc. But I've been unable to find some details on a '60 Bel Air. A friend wants me to replicate his father-in-law's car for Christmas but the only pictures are from the 60's without interior detail. Any help on what the door panels would've looked like, interior seat color, dash, etc. would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help.
Junkman Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 There you go: http://www.60impala.com/chevy799.htm For interior colours I unfortunately can't help you. My Ditzler/PPG interior color guide lists all available 1960 Chevrolet interior colours, but doesn't brake them down by trim level.
Foxer Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 The best thing about the '60 is it still had the '59 dash ... my favorite dashboard ever!
jw78z28 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 try looking for places that sell repo parts. I think there is a place called Impala bobs or year one I know there catalog for the camaros has pics of the door panels think they also have color options. Hope this helps. I think it www.yearone.com if not it should come up in google
Eshaver Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Pictures could be larger , but here is a link to a site I use infrequently : http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Chevrolet/1960_Chevrolet/1960_Chevrolet_Brochure_1/dirindex.html Ed Shaver
Aaronw Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I don't know how much difference there was 59 - 60 or El Camino to Bel Air, but you might find some useful info in the replies to my '59 El Camino question. Among the many detailed posts there was one that included a brochure for 1959 Chevys that includes a lot of interior details. http://www.modelcars...showtopic=48800
gray07 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Check out real cars on ebay, some might have good pictures.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Thanks for those links. Very nice work indeed.
