truckman1981 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) Well i am gonna call it done on this one. I am planning to build a van for this one soon to match. The trailer that is shown is just a old spare parts tralier to get an idea on air line length ect. Hope you all like it it was a pain in the @#%. Edited October 17, 2011 by truckman1981

Jim B Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I like it. You did a great job on this one. Can't even see the cab seams.
butchey Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 love colors! do the trailer with same color stripes!
BigBad Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Pretty classy truck you have there Chris! Can't go wrong with black on red. The stripes makes it really stand out, good color choice. The front wheels are not from that kit, now, are they? Did you shorten the front axle for it to fit properly? That kit is a beast! no locators on the cab anywhere for any equipment and that sleeper cab half... When you don't know where you are heading with this kit, it gives you a hard time! But you ended up with something pretty darn decent! Like Floyd "Butchey" just wrote, A black trailer with similar stripe would be killer behind your Freightshaker!

Thanks Robert, It is actually orange and black but dont worry a few other people thought it was red it just depends on your monitor. Actually your correct the front wheels are Italeri and i modified the actual wheels by cutting down the centers on the wheels to tuck under the cab like they should. You and butchey hit the nail on the head that is my plans for the Fruehauf van I have for it. Thanks again to everyone for the comments it inspires me to do better on the next one. It was one of my first kits, I have another one I'm gong to build. But I really think you made a hard kit look great!!! Kudos to you Chris. Did you use putty for all the seems on the cab? And the paint job is really nice.

There is always room for improvement for instance I want to change the fuel tnks out as soon as I can find a set that looks good. Thanks again for the kind words.
