S. Svendsen Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I finished up this '64 Plymouth over the weekend. It's built from a 20 yr. old R&R Vacuum Craft resin kit. All the build details and more pics are at the link. http://homepage.mac.com/ssven5/Sites/Svensworldofwheels/images/64_plymouthhemi_page.html
caine440 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 That is a R7R resin kit? WOW! Outstanding work. I have a R&R 63 Dodge I am trying to work up the courage to build.
S. Svendsen Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 My experience with R&R kits is that they are a little inconsistent in quality. Some of them are pretty good, but I've seen others that are a little sketchy. Almost all of them require more finish work (i.e. grinding flash and filling holes) than say a Modelhaus kit, but the price is generally lower too. Because of this I only buy from them when I've seen them at shows where I can inspect the kit in person. I've got 5 different R&R kits and I am happy with the ones I bought.
surfjunke Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Nice build! Very clean work & an unusual car.
Mister Twister Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Thats a fantastic looking build and nice pics also!
W-409 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Wow really great subject! Super Stockers are always really nice to see, especially when they are built nicely. Those wheels and tires look very good and I like the paintjob.Very cool build.
S. Svendsen Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 I just do curbside builds mostly so the hood is glued shut.
