I just picked up the full detail batmobile and i have always like speed racer and it occured to me that they came out around the same time then I wondered who would win a race both cars seem evenly matched however the mach 5 is probably much lighter. Your thoughts..........

Nemo's car could at least give them both a run for their money. The TDF-Pointer can certainly intercept them, because it's based on an Imperial. And that's a Mopar after all. But Grandpa Munster would leave all of them in the dust with his Dragula.

The Batmobile's (alledged) jet turbine is supposed to be able to boost the car to speeds of nearly 300 miles per, so the Bat would definitely blow Mach five away. B)

I don't think anyone could go around a corner at 300 mph. and I have never seen anyone pull away from the mach five unless speed goes off course.

just for arguements sake lets assoume that the race is an endurance race that puts every gadget to use. both have quite a few similar gadgets.

How about combining the two and coming up with another model the BAT 5!

Just an idea . . .

I've actually been kicking around that idea- a Batmobile combined not with a Mach 5 but with another famous hero car.

(No, not a General Lee! )

Well, the Batmobile is quite "trixy" and can climb the side of buildings, but the Mach 5 can jump and fly. While Batman and Robin are climbing up the side of a gorge, Speedy and Mach 5 have jumped over it and are on their way!

The Mach 5 of course. it is touted as the Fastest car in the world.

The Mach 5 also has seven or Eight mechanisms (Not 5) depending on which version (Anima or Movie)

The Mach 5 also comes with a Trunk Monkey, Can't get better than that. :D

Well I haven't quite finished thinking it through but I think i might be kind of leaning towards the mach 5 or maybe the batmobile. but seriously in all seriousness I do think that given the proper venue it would be a very close race .

FAB-1, by a "nose"....

btw.... how many movie and TV connected car and truck kits have there been?

i had, for a brief time, a T.H.E. Cat Sting Ray roadster..... i ALMOST sanded the logo off the rear panel to put a license plate there.

Herbie would undoubtedly emerge victorious against ALL opponents... 36 air-cooled horsepower and no gadgetry at all!
