Bastardo Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Oooh, she's a beauty Great job on the flames. Decal or airbrushed?
Draggon Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Nice paint! Goes to show that even a simple kit can be made to look fantastic. Great job!
crazyjim Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Very nice - and SHINY :) Love the true flames.
ItsThePaint! Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Thanks for the compliments. I'm blushin' over here. The clear is PPG concept 2042. No polishing. The trick is to spray it at 40psi, just like a 1-1 car(don't ever let anybody tell you to spray clear at lower pressure, that's how you get that fat lady's ass cellulite. 35-40 psi is perfect for high solids clearcoat. Runs are a gun adjustment issue, orange-peel is a pressure issue).
ItsThePaint! Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Thanks for the compliments. I just got back into building because I've got a 5 year old son. I don't have a problem with video games, but I want him to have some real skills, not just strong fingers-I just don't see much use in being a thumb-war champ! Anyways, it's something we do together, and he likes it because there's only so much he can help on with the 1:1 cars at the shop-but I gotta admit I got sucked back into the fun of this!
