Mercman Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Here are some pics of a commissioned build I recently completed. I started with the Borden rig, and a photo, and did these. I have done 3 of them so far, the first for the son of the milkmen, the next two for the milkmen themselve's. However I am sad to report that one of the guys has passed away recently unexpectedly. However at his funeral his son said that the model of his old truck brought him great joy.
george 53 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Are these Danbury Mint trucks,or are they resin cast? Either way, they ARE cool!
bsoder Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Man I remember the Borden truck delivering our milk when I was a tyke!...those are%2

Chuck Most Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Love it! I'd buy one of these diecasts if it weren't for the fact they're available in resin.
Mercman Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Yeah these are diecasts. Either Franklin, or Danbury Mint.
Chuck Most Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Jimmy Flintstone casts a Divco, and if I'm not mistaken, so does R&R.
Erik Smith Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) That is a neat build. Cool little trucks. There was a resin one on eBay a few months ago - think it went for around $50. IIRC it was an R & R, could be wrong. Here is the R and R kit: Edited November 5, 2011 by Coyotehybrids
