mookie Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Just got laid off, so in between looking for a job and dealing with being sick, this is whats keeping my sanity. Quite a bit of cutting to make it fit.
Skydime Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Looks great. If you have a second set of decals, it would be cool to see refinished as it was with that engine.
crazyjim Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Is that Go Mango? Wheels are cool as is the rest of what's going on.
george 53 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Mookie, this issa GREAT idea!!! A T/A 10 pak! How cool!!! Great move,Bro, you GO!!!!
mookie Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 Made some simple engine mounts and now I got it where I want.
mookie Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 Quick update. Paint is Rustoleum Cobalt Blue Metallic.
diymirage Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 sorry to hear about your job but your doing a great job on the T/A how are you planning on rebuilding the firewall ?
Greg Pugh Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I'm confused......is there two cars? Or one?
Erik Smith Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I'm confused......is there two cars? Or one? I think the orange car is now blue, no? Mean looking engine - I have been thinking of picking up a V-10 to drop in something.
Dr. Cranky Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Yes, I was confused too, but I see now that it was a resto job. The blue is the new color and I like it. Sorry you lost your job, buddy. Things are tough out there and will be so until after the elections. I hope things improve soon.
mookie Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 Yes this is a resto mod, I was planning on leaving it orange but i got some major dings on the body, so i went with a color change.
mookie Posted December 1, 2011 Author Posted December 1, 2011 This gave me the chance to smooth out the front and rear fenders of the car how they should be. I have seen comments in other projects saying that the front piece was molded differently than the real car and I did a little bit of research and noticed that they were correct, so I went ahead and made that change
ItsThePaint! Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 That looks Sweet! Nice stance! As for employment, why don't you check out getting a job in a 1:1 shop? You may start out as an apprentice, but you CAN make money from the skills you learn building models...just a thought
