Steve Keck Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 If you are documenting a work-in-progress how about showing the work part? If this is a kit review its in the wrong place.
Haubenschild Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 this is a work in progress i just got it today
SuperStockAndy Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Nice! I'm getting this kit in the near future so I'll follow this one.
Haubenschild Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) One note , the front cowling has a TON of sink marks on it Edited November 12, 2011 by mo69par
Dr. Cranky Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Keep it going, nice line up of Mopars in the background.

Dave Ambrose Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Nice work. I'm looking forward to more.
Haubenschild Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Fully painted front cowling , i did run into some problems though , luckily they arent that noticable
Haubenschild Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 Here is the rear section with three mist coats on , The bad thing is is that i ran out of paint , hopefully i can finish it up later today
'08SEAL Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Woah! I'd put that engine in a Dart for sure!
Haubenschild Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 Woah! I'd put that engine in a Dart for sure! HAHAHAH! a 427 cranking out 670hp wouldnt be bad in a dart!
Haubenschild Posted November 26, 2011 Author Posted November 26, 2011 The front cowling after the Beautiful CARTOGRAF decals were applied
Haubenschild Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 I ran into trouble painting today... looks like i will have to wait an extra week to get this one finished , time to whip out the oven cleaner
Scale-Master Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 What paint are you using for the orange?
SuperStockAndy Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 He told me he's using Tamiya Brilliant Orange.
Scale-Master Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 The bubbles looked like Tamiya paint put on too heavy... it happens. Easy Off/over cleaner does not work well to strip the TS colors, alcohol works much better. But I'd just sand that out and recoat instead of stripping. A lot less work...
Haubenschild Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 Yep i will go a little easier on the coats next time , the same thing almost happened to me on the front cowling
Haubenschild Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I got more done today , i finished painting the chassis side panels , installed the exhaust pipes and rear suspension, and started assembeling the front suspension/end of the car, sorry for the bad quality
